For Authors: Wednesday SciFi Fantasy Paranormal Romance New Release Info

Updated February 26, 2020…

I do NOT cover every single new release in SFR/FantasyR/PNR. I never have. I assemble my list every week based on various informal inputs, including author requests, and I do curate the list to some extent, looking at – for example ONLY –  reviews, past reviews, Look Inside features etc.,  quality of cover, subject matter among other things.

My goal is to always be inclusive and support diversity in the author community and in the stories shared. I am a fulltime author myself and can only devote so much time each week to this effort or my own writing suffers.

You can send me the title, the release date, the author name (if different), the cover, the blurb and up to 5 buy links at veronica.scott.author at gmail dot com FULL DISCLOSURE: I do use my own Amazon and Apple Books Associate Links at all times. I will use your links for all other buying platforms (up to 5 total) and will include your ‘author universal link’ if you have one (as part of the 5 links). I do NOT include BookBub, Goodreads or other non-buying links.

Do NOT ask me to go to your website, find and download a Media Kit etc etc in lieu of sending me the specific information I need.

I may or may not decide to mention the book in my New Releases post. Usually I will tell you this at the time you inquire.

I don’t list books that aren’t available on Amazon at a minimum (example: available only on a publisher website or an author website).

This post will continue to evolve over time as I see what works and what doesn’t.

I may choose to mention special sales from time to time.

I no longer cover pre-orders! It got too confusing for my readers…I don’t do cover reveals as part of this weekly post either. Contact me regarding a special cover reveal post, which I may agree to host depending on my editorial schedule.

I DO NOT routinely cover re-releases as a standard item any longer, if I’m aware the book is a re-release. There are just too many flooding the market right now, which YAY for the authors involved, genuinely happy for them getting their rights back, but I’m trying to focus on books that are actually out there for the first time, totally new to readers. I reserve the right to make exceptions on a case by case basis.

I don’t cover release of box sets of previously released material. I reserve the right to make exceptions on a case by case basis.

CAVEATS: I reserve the right to refuse any submission which I feel doesn’t fit my blog, for any reason. My blog, my rules.

I’ll do my best to get the information posted in a timely manner but no guarantees. I most likely won’t have read the books before posting the new release info and will so state.

FTC Disclaimer: when I mention in my ‘VS Note’ comments having read a book or a series, I don’t purchase all the books  I read – I do receive some ARC’s for review from authors or on occasion from publishers and will so state if I did receive an ARC of a specific book.

Many kudos and thanks to Charlee and her blogging team at the late, lamented Smart Girls Love SciFi Blog for all the wonderful work they did, establishing this weekly new releases post idea in the first place and I was thrilled to take the handoff from them and do my own version.

Please contact me with any questions!
