June 18, 2016 The giveaway is closed and I’ll send a paperback copy of the book to each person who commented. I’ll need the snail mail addresses. Thanks!

I’m doing an interview today over at USA Today Happily Ever After with Nalini Singh, on the subject of her new Psy/Changeling book Allegiance of Honor. (This giveaway is NOT for that book by her and has no connection whatsoever to Ms. Singh!) She happened to mention that on her to To Be Read List is the Dealer’s Choice An Intergalactic Bar & Grille Anthology  of  science fiction romance stories. The anthology was a free Limited Edition paperback, edited by Linnea Sinclair and PJ Schnyder. The only way to obtain a copy was to attend the Romance Times 2016 Booklovers’ Convention and the Intergalactic Bar & Grille Event there. Or a giveaway like this! We only printed so many copies.

Each participating author was also given a few copies to use for giveaways.

I wrote a Sectors SciFi Romance short story for the book so I haz copies! When I saw that Nalini had the anthology on her To Be Read list, I thought it was a good time for me to do a giveaway here on my personal blog. Leave me a comment here about why you love science fiction romance, or why you’d like to try it, and I’ll pick 4 commenters at random  at 6PM PST on June 15th. I’ll send each of the four people one copy of the 377 page paperback book, and I will sign it. (It’s heavy so I’ll be sending it media mail in the USA. International entrants are OK. I will mail it to you if you win, and live outside the USA.). I’ll need the e mail addresses from the winners so I can obtain mailing details.

Here’s the blurb for my story:  “The Golden Token”: Charlie, a recently discharged Special Forces soldier headed home, has a forced three day layover at a frontier space station, where a worker revolt is brewing. He can’t take his eyes off Rose, the best dancer at the Station’s Casino. When she finds herself caught in the middle of a dangerous miners vs. management situation, only Charlie can help.

See photo below for the nine other participating authors you’ll find in the volume, including Linnea and PJ,  and the book blurb.

  1. I adore SFR. I love the possibilities for the future and for the chance to explore new ways for people to meet and fall in love. I have always loved SF and the R was the part that was missing. Thanks for holding a giveaway, Veronica!

  2. What’s not to love? Different species, unlimited frontiers, endless possibilities! I fell in love with Han Solo a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, and have looked for romance in my Sci-Fi since then! With every Sci- Fi series, I imagine the adventures, the action and the romance in the stars. Starfleet officers, pirates, terraformers, they all hold a special place in my heart. Thanks for the opportunity! Keep the stories coming!

  3. I have been reading SFR since 1991 when I stumbled upon the futuristic genre with Kathleen Morgan’s The Knowing Crystal. SFR has grown so much since then and there are so many excellent authors. It’s pretty much all I read now a days. Keep ’em coming, Veronica. I just finished Lady of the Star Wind at lunch today and I’m sad that it’s over. 🙂

    • Awww, that’s music to an author’s ears, that you were sad the book is over 🙂 Thank you, made my whole day! I have a lot of mysteries and events left to talk about in that series, so a sequel in definitely on my list of things to write. Got a few things ahead of it in my writing queue though.
